Just a few steps ahead from the cruise ship, at the entrance of the terminal, an experienced guide will be waiting to begin the excursion. Your tour guide will give you interesting bits of information along the way.
You will soon enjoy the Veragua Rainforest Full Tour and take a look into a variety of wildlife attractions: reptile habitat, butterfly garden, frog habitats, insectarium, biological research station and the aerial tram ride are some of the highlights you’ll find there.

Travel to the Tortuguero Canals to experience a one-hour boat ride on a covered boat. This is a chance to see more plants and animals of the region, and with some luck, don’t miss the chance to take pictures of sloths, monkeys, iguanas, tropical birds and more biodiversity of the region.
Going back, watch most of Puerto Limon’s town from a scenic viewpoint, while your guide shares some of the history and culture of Costa Rica’s Caribbean province.
Right in the center of the city, you can optionally visit a supermarket where you can purchase, if you wish, some Costa Rican coffee and other local goods at a fair price.
Finally, it’s time to get back to the cruise ship terminal. Your guide and driver will make sure you’re there in time, so just relax and enjoy the trip!
Departure
We’ll pick you up early in the morning, usually between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM (local time) at the entrance of the Terminal in Limon. Keep in mind that this also depends on the time of arrival of your cruise ship.
Veragua Rainforest
For 2.5 – 3 hours, you’ll enjoy Veragua Rainforest Full Tour and take a look into a variety of wildlife attractions: reptile habitat, butterfly garden, frog habitats, insectarium, biological research station and the aerial tram ride are some of the highlights.

Tortuguero Canal Boat Ride
Enjoy 1 hour of travelling across the Tortuguero Canals in a covered boat, with a tour guide that will search for animals and give you information about them.
Scenic view
Get a magnificent view of Puerto Limon’s town from a panoramic viewpoint, a great opportunity to take a picture of the city and the ship docks.
Local supermarket
If time allows and you wish to, take a look at the products you can find in a popular supermarket in the city of Limon, where you can purchase some Costa Rican coffee and more.
Return
Back to the Cruise Ship Terminal. Your guide and driver will make sure you are back in time.
